Be aware of your deficiencies

Collated by Tusar Nath Mohapatra

No wonder Vivekananda, not Sri Aurobindo, is the favourite of #Sanghis, nay #Chaddis

It is, therefore, not a surprise that Rama Krishna Mission started by Swami Vivekananda became extension centres of Missionaries propagating soft Christianity.

Why are the Hindus so scared of other religions? Why are they critical of other habits? It is simply because they are not rooted firmly in their own religion. Be and make, Swami Vivekananda said. Do that and you will be free of narrowness.

Secondly, democracy means rule of law, not of the ruler. So, the young IAS and IPS officers must do their job by rulebook. If the ruler wants anything different, let him change the rules first.

Thirdly, they are public servants and should always remain as such, and never aspire to become more powerful than what the system allows them to become, through subterfuge or by becoming the servants of the ruler.

Be proud of your choices, but more importantly, be aware of your deficiencies. Never be ignorant and proud about your deficiences. Eat healthy - or fortify unnaturally or add synthetically.

looking for critical sources and while everybody's compared them, the only person to compare the specific tennyson and wilde pieces I'm trying to critique together seems to be Sri Aurobindo. Much to consider

Mike Levin (@drmichaellevin) ends up suggesting something very similar to what I've called the ecological ethics of reincarnation. We should relate to others the same way we relate to our future selves because there is no biologically relevant difference.
